 Guests enjoyed the pageantry of the Great Park Carousel as they sip ped delicious cocktails and enjoy edsumptuous appetizers next to this magical Park feature. Then, they strolled to the nearby Palm Court for a Brazilian themed dinner created by Chef Azmin of Sapphire, Laguna Beach. Their magical Carnivale evening concluded with dancing under the stars to the romantic beat of a seductive Brazilian band.
Progress at the Orange County Great Park
This year, development of the Great Park was focused on the Western Sector – including the North Lawn, the Great Park Farm, and the Palm Court & Squadron Complex. In fact, the Palm Court & Squadron Complex that was previewed at last year’s Jewel was the location of this year’s event. The event also featured another new addition – the Great Park Carousel. We know you will be impressed at the beauty of this wonderful new public space being created in the heart of Orange County – and at just how much progress has been made at the Great Park this last year.
About the Foundation
Since its formation in October of 2000, the role of the Foundation has been to generate and maintain public and private support throughout Orange County and beyond for the development and operation of the Orange County Great Park. A decade later, we remain committed to that role and fully embrace a strengthened mission to advance progress on a truly Great Park for the entire county.
Your contribution to the Jewel of Orange County supports the Foundation’s work on Great Park projects like the Arts + Culture Center, the Great Park Discovery Garden and the Museum of Heritage and Aviation.
